CORONARY HEART DISEASE
Coronary heart disease is a type of heart disease where the arteries of the heart cannot deliver enough oxygen-rich blood to the heart. It is the leading cause of death in India.
Coronary artery disease affects the larger coronary arteries on the surface of the heart. Another type of heart disease, called coronary microvascular disease, affects the tiny arteries in the heart muscle.
Coronary microvascular disease is more common in women.

INVASIVE & INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGY
Invasive cardiology is the used to describe open heart or minimally invasive surgical procedures to treat heart conditions and abnormalities. Some of the types of invasive cardiology procedures include the following:
Angioplasty: A tiny balloon is inserted into clogged veins to push plaque against the arterial wall to increase blood flow.
Stenting: Usually done in conjunction with angioplasty, a small metal coil is placed to permanently hold open a clogged vein.
