Dr. Hetan Shah
Dr. Hetan Shah is talented Interventional Cardiologist from Mumbai. Recipient of various awards during her academic and professional career, Dr. Hetan is associated as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist with Tata Hospital, Jaslok Hospital, Breach Candy Hospital, Kohinoor Hospital, and Maru Hospital in Mumbai as well as SAL hospital in Ahmedabad. She also works as a Zonal Medical Referee of Life Insurance of India in Mumbai. Dr. Hetan strongly believes in providing her services in rural parts of India. She provides an Honorary services at Sadguru Sevasangh, Chitrakoot in Madhya Pradesh since 2009. She has conducted various health camps through Chandrakamal Memorial Trust, Ahmedabad and has provided free services to poor and needy patients.
After accomplishing MBBS from prestigious BJ Medical College in Ahmedabad, Dr. Hetan pursued MD in Medicine from Sheth K.M. School of Post Graduation Medicine & Research, Ahmedabad. Her DNB in Cardiology was completed from Sheth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai. She has done Observership at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Toronto General Hospital, and Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.
Dr. Hetan has successfully demonstrated her management skills by participating as a member of organising committee of various conferences such as IJCTO-2013, Live Telecast- Complex Angioplasty Role of Absorb Stent at Mount Shinai Hospital New York in 2013, TCT- MD- San Francisco in 2011, Echocardiographic Workshop on Coronary Artery Disease Conference in Mumbai, and an Interesting case/ Echo/ Cath Workshop- Master’s Teacher Academy Program in Mumbai. She was appointed as a Chairperson for international conferences on 'Estimation of Complex Valvular Lesion on Echocardiography' and 'Estimation of Pulmonary Hypertension/ Coronary Artery Disease'. She was involved in the panel discussion held at Cardiology Summit of India 2006 where she shared dais with Dr. Jane Somerville.
Dr. Hetan has been actively participating in various social initiatives addressed to provide better medical facilities to underprivileged section of the society. She is an honorary team member of cardiologist for diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases in remote rural and desert areas of Kutchha in Gujarat. Since 1998, Dr. Hetan is involved in a project sponsored by Shri Limbodara Sewa Samaj for diagnosis and treatment of patients suffering from heart diseases at native village Limbodara, Mehsana in Gujarat.
